Cast: Amey Wagh, Mithila Palkar, Sachin Khedkar, Chinmayee Sumeet Director: Varun Narvekar A poster of Muramba Source: IMDb Being a non- Marathi, I can still say firmly that this film will not make you feel alienated rather it will involve you in the story swiftly with utmost simplicity. This 2017 Marathi film is a perfect blend of ethnicity and modernity. The writer-director Varun Narvekar marked his debut direction with Muramba. He has effortlessly played with the structure of the film which is a pleasure to watch.  The film begins with an end of a three years relationship of Alok (Amey Wagh) and Indu (Mithila Palkar) who have known each other since school days and get into relationship while pursuing their MBA. Both the families (boy's and girl's) are aware about their romantic involvement and all of them are fine with this relationship. The problem arises when Indu and Alok broke off. Alok’s parents (Sachin Khedkar and Chinmayee Sumeet) do not comprehend this co

To My Dear Youngies!

21 st century is a boon but more of a curse especially for the youngies. Let me say you why I think so, once I was attending a webinar (the new trend of Covid -19) while I was listening to it I suddenly realized that how all of us had to compete so much with each other just to survive in this world. Obviously, this realization is not something new but the idea and sense of this existential crisis made me wonder.  So, one morning I had this odd feeling to write on this and allow my contemporaries to shed a light on this idea. With abundance of exposure through various platforms and varieties of sources availability, our choices are tend to get confused at times. It is natural to feel nervous because of our habit to achieve a specific goal by a certain age. On the contrary I also feel, who decided that at some specific age we need to be at a certain position? I am not denying here the idea of accomplishing goals but just a question on these set of limits? Today everyone from an earl

Bardoli - The Land of Inspiration

Image
A trip with college friends is always fun but when we together visit a place which tells us a story of glorifying history about our country is just a cherry on top. It was fascinating to visit at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Museum, Bardoli situated 34kms from Surat in Gujarat. Its really amazing that most of the museums in India charge very nominal yet their maintenance is appreciable. As we all know that, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was one of the foremost leaders of freedom fight, and faithful follower of Mahatma Gandhi. But there is a short story behind the relationship of Patel and Gandhiji which is well presented in the museum. There is a diorama of Vallabhbhai Patel in the museum, smoking cigars and playing cards at barrister's club along with his friend. An elaborate description is given beside this diorama that somebody invited the members of that club to meet M.K. Gandhi who had come to explain his ideas about an Ashram and a national school. Initially, P

Cheers to 2019!!!

Coming to an end of 2019, I thought of writing about bidding goodbye. Goodbyes are tough, can't disagree to it. There are sudden goodbyes like demises, subtle goodbyes for instance, when a butterfly is sucking the last part of nectar from a flower and the list may go on. Adieu is considered an end but its not if you just ponder upon it for a while. An end is just a beginning to another wonderful moment or journey. Sometimes sayonara is beautiful, if you say it and believe it truely then you are giving a chance for something new. A change can enter into your life which will turn out as a miracle which you misunderstood as a threat. 2019! A year of gratefulness, a year of revitalised learnings, a stepping stone of self acceptance, a year of spreading love and peace, imbibing this positivity let's adieu together 2019 and heartily welcome the new path of our lives.😇

THEY!

They fly high in your bourn, They flow and get slow, They reflect your aura, Its all about your persona. They compel you, They ride you to your lowest point, They even shatter you in pieces at times, As they seize you. They are overwhelming, They are disciplined, They are frenzy, As they evolve. Well the list can go on, But tell me who are they? What are they? They exist just like your shadow, Never leaving your side by hook or by crook, Because they are emotions!

The conversation

The summer sky seemed a bluish canvas filled with all the coral and golden colours, abruptly stroked all around the setting sun. While the little cactus plant on the barren land all by itself bloomed so lush and green. The setting sun was stupefied by the flourishing growth of the cactus with each hot day passing by. So today he decided to ask the little cactus below about it, before setting down.  Sun: "Hey there! Little cactus." Cactus (surprised): "Hello!" Sun: "Today it was really a sunny day eh!?" Cactus (smirking): "Yeah! It felt I was burning in the hell. But, isn’t it you who can control it?" Sun (proudly): "Indeed. Though, I have to follow our mother's instructions." Cactus (happily): "Oh yes! By the way, how come today I got so lucky to get noticed by you?" Sun (calmly): "Well, you must be aware I observe everything around me. Since my days have begun I noticed
